VOLUNTEER’S NEEDED
We are currently seeking volunteers who can spare some time to help support families staying at Ronald McDonald House & the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat or visiting the Ronald McDonald Family Room. With full training provided, you will play vital role in helping families going through a tough time with their sick child in hospital.
Your support today can lighten their burden and help us provide a supportive place for families to connect and stay together.
WeekDAY and Weekend at ronald mcdonald house
Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House, helping to provide families with sick or injured children an oasis of comfort in a sea of chaos. Volunteer's provide a helping hand to assist us with everyday tasks around the House, 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. Shifts are available 8am - 11am, 11am - 2pm, 2pm - 6pm. Positions available Newcastle and Tamworth.
Overnight VOlunteering at Ronald McDonald House
Overnight volunteers play a vital role at Ronald McDonald House, caring for our families overnight and welcome any families who may arrive in an emergency situation. The overnight volunteers are onsite from 6pm through till 8am the following morning. Suited to a single person or couple, overnight volunteers have their own bedroom and ensuite facilities for their stay. Positions available in Newcastle and Tamworth.
WeekDAY and Weekend at the Ronald McDOnald Family ROom
Volunteers in our Family Rooms are helping to provide a home like place within the hospital for families with a sick child. The Family Room volunteers assist with keeping the Family Room clean and tidy, making a cuppa for a parent or checking on lending a supportive ear. Shifts are available 8am - 11am, 11am - 2pm. Positions available at the Family Room at Gosford Hospital and the J1 John Hunter Children’s Hospital Newcastle.
Family retreat VOlunteering- Forster
Family Retreat volunteers help to give families the extra special care while relaxing and reconnecting at the Family Retreat. Volunteers undertake a variety of activities and tasks around the Retreat from administration support and reception through to light cleaning and gardening. Shifts are available from Tuesday - Friday from 11am - 2pm. Positions available in Forster
