Ronald McDonald House is Bridgette’s “Castle”

Seven-year-old Bridgette has been coming to Ronald McDonald House since she was born. In fact, she’s such a frequent visitor that she refers to it as “The Castle” because it’s her second home.

Aidan’s heroic journey

Aiden was just 2 years old when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and underwent the vital medical care he needed. From the time of his initial diagnosis, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program was there providing support with referrals for Occupational Therapy and much-needed physiotherapy.

Mum feels supported by Family Room

On a recent visit to the Family Room in Gosford, Makaya-Leigh’s mum, Amy, felt very supported and appreciated the opportunity to take a break from her daughter's hospital bedside. She was able to grab a cuppa and enjoy the company of the friendly and caring Volunteers.

More than a house

At 32 weeks pregnant and feeling 'off', Krissie from Narrabri went for what she thought would be a quick visit to the midwife. With the doctors worried about both Krissie and her babies health the visit turned into an unexpected trip to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for an early delivery.
